If you would like to help out with the collection I am always looking for new helpers! The Security Envelope Collection is a physical collection that is also documented digitally. For patterns to be included I need a physical version. I am happy to reimburse for shipping costs.
Size of Pattern
For me to be able to use an envelope pattern it needs to be at least 3 x 3 inches. I would prefer to get the entire envelope if possible.
Type of Pattern
Always looking for patterns. You are welcome to reach out with any questions you might have. I’ve listed a few common questions below to speed things up.
Q: Do you have XXXX pattern already?
A: If you’d like to know if a certain pattern you have would be a new addition to the collection you are welcome to reach out via the contact form which will turn into an email exchange. Also happy to message @abstract_collage on Instagram.
If you’re an envelope collector, even a one just getting started, there’s a good chance that you have multiple patterns that I don’t have yet.
If you’re in a hurry, you are also just welcome to send me what you have. This can be a good option if you have a lot of patterns and may not have the time to photograph them.
Q: What patterns are you looking for?
A: Sometimes people are interested in what patterns I am currently looking for. This can happen sometimes when people have very large collections and would like to focus in on one type of pattern that I may need help with.
Feel free to reach out and I can point you towards some up to date things I have my eye on. Low hanging fruit in 2026: Patterns from outside of the USA. Colors other than Black and Blue.

- Any information regarding specific security envelope patterns. Including things like: date created, pattern designer, company, geographic origin, etc.
- Does your businesses send out custom security envelope patterns? I’d like all companies who are interested in being represented in the collection to have that chance, whether those are current patterns or ones from the past. I’d also like to add any contextual information that you would like featured.
